10 Casino Games to Play Online

To play casino games there is no need to get all dressed up these days. You don’t even have to leave the house, if you don’t feel like it. Casino games are available online and can be played from the comfort of your home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Most of the time a one-time casino software download is necessary, when you want to play casino games online. The software is usually directly available on the online casino website of your choice.

These days some casinos offer flash games which do not require a download. Personally I find the downloadable casinos more practical as you don’t have to open a browser each time you want to play. You simply play straight from your desktop.

These are 10 casino games you can play online:

1. Blackjack

Arguably one of the most well known card games in the world is Blackjack. The aim of the game is to obtain a hand combination closest to 21 as possible, without going over (busting).

The 2-10 cards are worth their numerical value. Face cards are valued at 10 and Aces can be worth 1 or 11. With time you will learn the odds of your hand busting versus de dealer’s hand.

It basically is a very easy game to learn how to play, and worth spending some time on as it is possible to develop some good skills which will massively increase your winning odds in this game.

2. Craps

Craps is a very exciting dice game. It’s the fastest moving game at the casino tables with a large variety of betting and wagering options. Though a craps table can look pretty intimidating when you see it for the first time, but it is easier than it looks. It’s best to stick to the basic bets, as the more complex ones most of the time do not give you better winning odds.

3. Roulette

Mostly two types of roulette are offered to players online: American Roulettes and European Roulettes. As the American roulette wheel contains an extra 00 field, the European wheels have slightly better winning odds.

In this random number game players may choose to place bets either on a single number or a range of numbers, the colours black and red and the odd and even ranges. The croupier spins the roulette wheel, which contains coloured and numbered pockets, in one direction, while he releases and spins a little ball in the opposite direction on the circular track of the wheel. When the ball eventually loses its speed and falls into one of the (37 or 38) pockets of the wheel, the winning number (and therefore winning colour and number range) of the round is determined.

4. Mini Baccarat

Is a card game with the exact same rules as standard Baccarat, with the exception that players do not take turns being the banker. Six or seven players can be seated at a mini Baccarat table and there are 3 betting spots per player corresponding to banker, player and tie bets.

The aim of the game is to get as close to 9 as possible with 2 or 3 cards dealt to each player. 2-9 value cards represent their exact face value, and 10 and face cards value 0. The score of the hand is the right digit of the total of the cards. For example, if the two cards are an 8 and 7, which totals 15 the value of the hand is 5.

This is a fun and fast paced game of pure chance.

5. Online Slots

Online slots are among the simplest online casino games you can play. When you start the game you choose the amount of your bet (often 0.05€/$, 0.10€/$, 0.50€/$ or 1€/$ per spin) and how many lines you’d like to play. You then press the button to spin the reels.

Different slot machines offer different payouts for different picture line up combinations. You can find out which pictures, and how many in a row make you win, in the pay tables of the slot machine you are playing on.

6. Online video poker

Video poker basically is a poker based slot machine. The principles of poker provide the foundation for this game, and thus the aim is to obtain any of the winning poker hand combinations.

It is one of the most popular casino games today as it combines the excitement and skill of poker with the speed of slot machines and some of the highest winning odds of any casino game.

7. Pai Gow poker

Pai Gow poker is also called Double-hand poker. It is a version of the Chinese Pai Gow domino game, played with cards bearing poker hand values. The game is played with the standard 52 cards standard including a joker, which can be used as an ace, or to complete a straight, a flush or a straight flush. And the table is set for 6 players and a dealer.

The aim is to create two poker hands (a five-card hand and a two-card hand) out of the seven cards you are dealt. The five-card hand’s value needs to exceed the two-card hand’s value.

8. SicBo

SicBo is another dice game that can be played online. The game originates from ancient China and involves 3 dice and a table with a variety of betting options. The aim of the game is to guess the outcome of the roll of the dice.

The dice are rolled by the dealer using a special box, called the SicBo shaker, and the outcome is hidden until all bets are placed. Winning numbers and combinations light up on the table, and the dealer pays out the winning bets. True, the game board looks quite complex but the game is actually very easy to play.

9. Keno

Keno is a lottery type game which is very similar to the better known game called “Bingo”. It revolves around a circular glass enclosure, called a ‘bubble’, containing balls numbered from 1 – 80. Twenty of these 80 balls will be drawn each draw, while you have marked your numbers of choice on a blank keno ticket.

Once drawn the computerized Keno system calculates and determines the result of that game. How much you win depends on how many of the drawn numbers you had chosen.

10. Online Poker

Online poker is ragingly popular these days, fueled by the big international televised poker tournaments in which often amateur players enter and play alongside professional poker players. Check the poker bonuses on the different online poker sites as often you can win seats to enter big international poker tournaments.

Poker is a card game of chance, but if you practice and develop your skills, your odds of winning will be massively increased.

Different types of poker are played in online casinos, but the current favourite is Texas Hold’em. The aim of Hold’em is to make the best possible five-card poker hand using any of your two pocket cards (dealt to you face down) and the five community cards (dealt on the table face up).

There are so many different types of casino games these days and most of them you can find online as well. So whether you like the adventure of going to a real life land based casino or you prefer to play casino online from the comfort of your home, all these popular games are waiting to be played and enjoyed by you.

Additionally, if you have won a lot than expected or good enough, it’d be wiser decision for you to quit playing the casino slot game immediately. Casino Pointers

While there is no denying that casinos are not complicated, it is also true that one must keep a few basic pointers of casino play in mind so as to make the most of the visit to the casino.

Rules and regulations

Every game has its own peculiar rules and it is very important to understand these rules when you decide to play the casino game in question. So begin by understanding the rules of the game and also its procedure. You should know how the game is played, what are its main rules and also if there is an etiquette that goes with the game. Players who overlook these basics will often end up losing a lot of money since they ended up breaking a rule unknowingly.

Money matters

Casino and money go hand in hand. Of course every player is playing to win, but keep in mind that every player does not end up winning. So keep a balance between your play and money. Do not over bet in the hope that you will win the hand, since even the strongest player is likely to get defeated sometimes. Bet the money that you can afford to loose and never beyond this. Keep in mind that even the stake that you choose to play must be in keeping with the money that you can afford to loose. If you are working with a small budget, stick with the smaller stake since it will allow you more chances, while if your stake is the big one, then your budget will need to be grand too.

Over confidence can kill

Of course confidence is an integral part of winning any game, but there is a fine line between confidence and over confidence. So keep a check on your over confidence. Do not presume that you are the best player on the table and that you have it all figured out and are holding the strongest hand on the table too. This will lead you to play loose and you could end up losing it all. Always judge the game by its odds, but remember that there is a luck factor involved too and the odds can only give you a rough idea and not specific details.

Concentrate on the game

When you come to a casino, come with a clean and clear mind. Do not carry your worries here since these will prevent you from concentrating on the game. Lack of concentration on the game will increases your chances of losing. So if you have come to the casino in an aggressive mood after a fight with someone, you are likely to play an aggressive game without considering the odds and end up losing.

Taste of the pudding

There is no denying the fact that the taste of the pudding lies in its eating. The casino games are also great fun and this fun is the integral part of the game. Do not end up sacrificing this fun in order to play the game. Enjoy the experience of being in the casino and the entertainment that the games provide. This will ensure that you are able to enjoy the game even if you end up going home with a lighter pocket than the one when you came in.

Online Casino Games – Which is the Best One For You?

People who search for a way of spending a little time trying their luck at casino games are no longer limited by their distance from a bricks and mortar casino. The digital age has allowed legal gambling to be available to all, and those who are interested in this type of gaming experience can now try their luck from any computer that has internet access. While there are some restrictions on US players, it is possible for US people to play at certain online casinos.

Whatever is offered at real casinos is also available to the online version and there are countless different games that can be played at an online casino. As with real life casinos, most of these games have different probabilities for winning as well as different costs for playing. Some of the various casino games that can be found online are outlined below.

First of all there are the card games. These games are still the most popular of all casino games and that includes both the online casinos and the real life ones. There are literally hundreds of different card games that can be played today, with several variations of blackjack, poker and baccarat.

Secondly we can find the slot machines and these are as popular online as they are in real casinos. Because there are many different slots available, players are able to decide which ones they want to play based on design and style. The main characteristics of a slot game are the three reels, five reels, and bonus slots. Progressive slots are also available from several online casinos, wherein the jackpot can build up. Online slot machines vary in playing costs, with some charging a few cents while others could cost $5 and upwards for a spin.

Thirdly you can find table games. These can include games such as craps where you throw the dice and hope for the best, roulette, which is the classic wheel spinning game where you can choose your odds and with a number of different variations accessible at most casinos, Pai Gow which is the Chinese tile game, and sic bo which is also a Chinese game but this time involves three dice and has a variation called chuck-a-luck. Each of these games can be found in nearly all real casinos as well as in most online versions. One thing that has to be remembered though is that the odds with these games are profoundly biased toward the house, and the computer generated spins or rolls will only make the result more uneven towards the houses favour!

When playing online chance games, you will never lack in the variety of games that are offered in a real life casino. These variations of the game are also accessible in the same diversity as the real casinos, but with the difference of being able to play from the comfort of your own home. If you have some time to spare and would like the chance to win a bit of cash, the prospect of playing casino games is never too far away.

Different Types of Casino Craps

Different Types of Craps

When you come across a game of craps, there’s a good chance that it will employ the standard rules. However, variations on craps do exist, and the following are some of the most common:

Simple Craps – In this basic version of the game, the player wins on a roll of 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12. If a 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 is rolled, the player loses.

High Point Craps – A player wins if they get an 11 or 12 on their first roll. If a 2 or 3 are thrown on the initial roll, the dice are returned to the player for another try. Any number from 4 to 10 can be established as the point, and the player must exceed that total on their next roll.

Crapless Craps – The player can’t lose on the come out roll, but the only automatic winner is the 7. Since the house edge is nearly quadrupled, most experienced players avoid this game.

Die Rich Craps – A single die is used in this version of the game, and the player wins on the come out roll by getting a 6. The pass line bet loses on a 1, and the numbers 2 through 5 establish the point. The player then gets three rolls to make the point, and the payout fluctuates with the number of rolls. Rolling a 1, however, always results in a loss.

Chuck a Luck – Three dice are rolled from a shaker, and players wager on a number from 1 to 6. The bettor wins according to how many times their chosen number comes up on the roll. While it’s closer to sic bo than craps, novice players may confuse the two.

New York Craps – There are several differences in the rules, but the biggest is that Come and Don’t Come wagers aren’t allowed. This variant can be found on the East Coast, as well as certain parts of Europe.

Best Craps Bets

If you want to reduce the casino advantage as low as possible, stick with the following wagers.

Pass Odds– If the come-out roll results in a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the player can take odds by wagering a set multiple of the pass line bet. This new wager wins if the point is made, and it pays at the following odds: 2:1 for a 4 or 10; 3:2 for a 5 or 9; and 6:5 for a 6 or 8.

Don’t Pass Odds – Like the previous wager, except this time the player is betting on a 7 to be rolled after the point has been established. Pays 1:2 against a 4 or 10; 2:3 against a 5 or 9; and 5:6 against a 6 or 8.

Worst Craps Bets

Craps at US casinos provide a lot of fun betting options, but some of them are heavily slanted in favor of the house. If you want to gamble smart, always avoid the following wagers:

Any 7 – Pays 4:1if the shooter rolls a 7. Unfortunately, the house edge is 16.67%.

World – Pays 26:5 if a 2 or 12 are rolled and 11:5 on a 3 or 11. If a 7 comes up, the result is a push. The house edge is 13.33%.

The Art of Dice Control

If you’re playing craps games online, this won’t be an option. For the land-based player, however, dice control is an interesting strategy that’s intended to negate the random nature of the game. The player positions the dice in his hand and tosses them in such a way that they graze the back wall instead of bouncing off.

Casinos frown on dice control, so hours of practice are needed to perfect its execution. Some Gamblingpedia.org experts argue that it’s impossible to determine the outcome of the roll with any consistency, although there are players who claim over 100 throws in a row using this method.

Best Casino Craps System – The Richochet Craps System

It is a known fact that there is no such thing as a casino craps system that will break the casino, or give you any technical edge over the house. However, this does not mean that some systems are not better than others, and when combined with smart gambling give you the best odds of making money. We are going to take a look at the best and most underplayed craps system there is. This system is so underplayed because it involves “unadvertised” best, or bets that are not labeled on the table. It also uses the “Don’t” side of the craps table, which is not a very popular side to play because you are betting against the shooter.

The first step to successfully implementing the Ricochet system is to chart the craps tables. This means you are going to walk around and look for a table that appears to be “cold” and going through shooters rather quickly. You do NOT want to use this system at a “hot” table. Following the trends is a very important thing to learn when playing the game of craps, as it will determine what you bet, when you bet, and how much you bet. When you have found a cold table that is alternating shooters frequently, you are ready to begin using the Ricochet craps system.

Begin by allowing the shooter to establish a point, and do not make any bets until the shooter establishes a point. After the shooter has established a point, you are going to make what is called a “Lay” bet against the point number. This type of bet is not “advertised” on the table, but the dealers will know what you mean. It is often referred to as $41 no 4 or 10, $31 no 5 or 9, or $25 no 6 or 8 depending on what number you a laying against. By making this bet you are betting that a 7 is going to come before the number you are laying. If a 7 comes, you win. If the number you are laying comes, you lose.

This lay bet acts only as a one roll hedge bet to cover your next bet, which is a $15 Don’t Come bet. The Don’t Come is the opposite of the Come, meaning that it will lose on a 7 or 11, win on a 2 or 3, push on a 12, and anything else will be a point number that it will “move behind.” When your $15 Don’t Come bet has moved behind a number, it acts just as a lay bet. You are betting that a 7 will come before the number you are behind. The odds in this situation are much in your favor, no matter what number you are behind. At the time you make your $15 Don’t Come bet, you can also choose to put $1 on the “Yo 11” bet, and this will act as an additional hedge to cover your $15 bet.

After you have successfully gone behind a number with your $15 Don’t Come bet, take your Lay bet down. Do this by telling the dealer “Down on my Lay,” in reference to whatever number you were laying. You will now be sitting behind a number with a $15 bet with the odds in your favor, simply waiting for a decision on that bet. If you are behind the 4 or 10, your odds are 2 to 1 in your favor. If you are behind the 5 or 9, your odds to 3 to 2 in your favor. If you are behind the 6 or 8, the odds are 6 to 5 in your favor.

The main concept behind this system is trying to find the best way to take advantage of the “Don’t” side of the table, which is where the greatest odds of winning are. If you are able to get behind a number safely, you are always going to have the odds to win because now you have the 7 working for you. The problem with playing the Don’t side has always been the 7 on the initial Don’t Come or don’t pass bet. What this system does, as you can see, is places a “lay” hedge bet on a number for one roll while you are establishing a number with your Don’t Come bet. This way the 7 can’t hurt your $15 Don’t Come bet, and the only thing you have to worry about is a repeat of the number that you are laying for one roll.

Let us run through one quick example game. The shooter throws a 9 as their point. You tell the dealer “$31 no 9 please,” and then place a $15 bet on the Don’t Come and toss a $1 chip in the middle shouting “Yo 11.” The shooter then rolls a 4. Your Don’t Come bet moves behind the 4, and right away you tell the dealer “Down on my lay,” pointing to your $31 no 9 bet. You now sit with a 2 to 1 chance of winning your $15 bet as you wait for either a 7 or 4 to come.

If everyone who played craps used this system it wouldn’t break the casino, but it would certainly give the casinos a much harder time. While this system alone will not give you the edge necessary to make money in the long run, if you combine it with all the essentials of gambling you can be sure to make money. Be sure to chart your tables, and set a loss limit and win goal. Use good discipline to walk away from the table when you reach either of these goals. Good luck at the tables!

The Good, the Bad, and the Not So Ugly Casino Bets

When walking through a casino, you may scratch your head and contemplate, “which game should I play? Maybe the slot machines?” There’s thousands of them enticing you take little spin. “Perhaps a little blackjack?” This game is not your Father’s blackjack any more. It has since evolved into many variants. Considering craps? Those tempting props bets can deplete your bankroll quickly.

Here are some of the best, worst, and not so ugly bets of casino games:

Machines

· The Good – Video Poker.

Learn basic strategy on the Jacks or Better, Bonus and Double Bonus games offering a 5 coin maximum bet. Always check the machine pay tables for one that pays at least 9/1 for a full house, and 6/1 for a flush. These games have over a 98% return and your money may last longer. Do not play those with pay tables less than 9/6.

· The Bad – Penny Slots

Very popular with exciting themes, colorful graphics, and attractive bonus features. However, the return is in the 80% range. Casinos have to hold more because they make less money on them. The hit frequency is about one in three spins but many so called win returns are less than your original wager.

· The Not So Ugly – Traditional 3 Reel Slots

If you positively must play the slots, try the non-progressive 25 cents, 50 cents, or 1 dollar machines that accept a two or three coin maximum wager. (While they’re still around). Returns average about 95%, and when you score a hit, your smallest win will be at least the amount of your original wager.

Tables

· The Good – Traditional Blackjack

Stay with the tables that pay 3/2 for a blackjack, deal from shoes and offer liberal rules such as allowing re-splits, soft doubling, double after split and late surrender. Learn basic strategy first. Avoid the optional side bets.

· The Bad – 6/5 Blackjack

Many casinos have reduced their BJ payout from 3/2 to 6/5. A player can expect three to four BJ’s per hour. Receiving $12 instead of $15 at a $10 table will deplete your bankroll quicker. Another bad bet is playing at a table with a continuous shuffle machine. The hands played per hour jump from about 60 to 80.

· The Not So Ugly – Blackjack Switch

This game is catching on fast. You play two hands at once and are allowed the option of switching the top cards to create better hands. Blackjack only pays even money but the game has some advantages for the player. After the switch is made, basic Blackjack rules apply. You can split, double, etc.

· The Good – Craps: pass line with odds.

There is a reason why this bet is the most popular at the table. When you make an odds wager behind the pass line after a shooter’s point number is established, you will be paid in true odds if the point is made before a seven is rolled. For example, the true odds on numbers four and ten are 2/1. A $10 odds bet would pay $20.

· The Bad – Craps: one roll proposition bets

You have one chance to wager that a certain number will emerge on the next roll. For example, a bet on the two or twelve will pay 30/1 if it hits. Truth is you only have a 1 in 36 chance of winning.

· The Not So Ugly – Craps: wrong betting

A wrong or don’t bettor is a player that bets against the shooter. When a wager is made on the don’t pass bar, the player is hoping that the shooter will roll a seven before the point number. This is called a seven out; all bets lose to the house except the wrong bettor(s). Don’t bettors also have an odds bet option, but they have to lay odds instead of taking them. For example, an odds bet against a point four or ten would cost $20 to win $10.

These are just a few of many. If you do your homework Lady Luck may turn out to be a great date!

When Can Betting Wrong Be the Right Choice? Only in the Casino Game of Craps

Craps strategy for the Wrong Bettor could be the right choice since your chance of winning the roll increases when the shooter sevens out. (Loses the roll). A wrong bettor is usually in the minority and not very welcome at the table. Only about 2% of bettors bet against the shooter.

Wrong Bettor Strategy

Start by selecting a lower minimum table, such as a $5.00 one, and buy in for $120 which will give you a reasonable play session. Ask the dealer for 20 five-dollar chips and 20 one-dollar chips. When the dealer announces the new game by shouting “comin’ out”, place the five-dollar chip on the Don’t Pass Line. Then place three one-dollar chips on the table, directing the dealer to put two-dollars on any seven (payout is 4 to 1), and one-dollar on the eleven, also called the yo’ (payout is 15 to 1). These two plays will keep you in the game on the Come Out roll with the following possibilities:

If the Shooter Rolls:

7 – you win 8, lose 6

2 or 3 – you win 5, lose 3

11 – you win 15, lose 7

12 – you lose 3, the $5 bet pushes

4,5,6, or 8,9,10 – lose 3

The five dollars remains on the Don’t Pass Bar. For example, if a 4 is rolled, your five-dollars is still active. The 4 becomes the point number. As a wrong bettor, you want the 7 to be rolled before the 4, in order to collect your wager.

The Odds Bet

When you place an odds bet as a wrong bettor you’re laying odds instead of taking odds because your chances of winning are now greater than losing. However, it will cost you more to lay the odds.

For example, there are 6 ways to win with a 7: 4,3; 5,2: 6,1: or 3,4: 2,5; 1,6. The three ways to lose with a 4 are 3, 1; 1, 3; or 2, 2. In other words there is a 1 to 2 payoff. You will have to lay $10 odds to collect $5 true odds. The total line bet is $15 ($5 on Don’t Pass; $10 on odds) total win is $10. ($5 for the Don’t Pass, $5 for the odds.)

When you lay your odds bet, place it off center atop your Don’t Pass wager chips. This tells the dealer that you are laying single odds against the point number 4.

Some casinos only offer single odds to wrong bettors. If you are interested in playing double odds, check with the dealer first. It’s advisable to remember that laying double odds as a wrong bettor can become quite expensive, depleting your buy in quickly.

True odds against other point numbers are:

Point Numbers True Odds

4 and 10 – 1 to 2

5 and 9 – 2 to 3

6 and 8 – 5 to 6

While a wrong bettor puts up more to win less, the risk to benefit advantage is that you can win more often.

Odds Strategy

Lay odds bets against the point numbers 4, 5, 9, or 10 only. The 6, 8-point strategy is played differently.

Place Betting

After you lay your odds bet, put $12.00 on the table and tell the dealer to place the 6 and 8.Each time a 6 or 8 is rolled before a 7 you’ll be paid seven-dollars. Press up one time so that you have $12.00 on each number. These numbers are as important to you as a wrong bettor as they are to the right bettor. You want Lady Luck to drop her 6’s and 8’s before your seven is made or the point number is rolled.

If the shooter sevens out, you’ll collect your Don’t Pass wager, but will lose the 6, 8 place bets. If the shooter makes the point, you’ll lose the Don’t Pass wager. The place bets remain on the felt and are still active.

6 and 8 Point Strategy

If the 6 or 8 becomes the point on the come out, use a different strategy. For example, if the 6 is the point, make a $6.00 place bet on the 8. This time do not lay odds. Hedge the point by asking the dealer to make a Hard Way bet on the 6. The hard way is one way only, in this instance a 3 and 3. The hard ways are proposition bets that I don’t normally recommend but in this case, it could be a good hedge.

This bet pays 9 to 1 and the payout is $45 if the shooter makes the point the hard way. Your Don’t Pass wager will lose.

Keep in mind that craps is still a game of pure chance and is best viewed as simply a form of entertainment. When the dice do not confirm your hunches, leave them to play another day.

Good Luck when playing, right or wrong!
